The exhibition is articulated within the three latest rooms on the ground floor of the castle. In the first one there is an introduction to ancient epigraphy in Sicily and the funeral world in Rome (room I). The second stage consists of a selection of official public inscriptions of Roman Catania (room II). Finally, there are some funeral epitaphs of ancient, pagan, Christian and Jewish Catania (room III). Visiting the ground floor of the Civic Museum, in the halls preceding the exhibition, you will find an itinerary between the exhibited Roman finds, which are linked to the epigraphic documents of the exhibition (roman itinerary).
